Side note: I love hand pies in part because they make me think of 'Little Women.' Beth would send Meg and Jo off to work each day with a hand pie. Jo notes that aside from just being breakfast, they also served to keep their hands warm during the cold winter months. Oh goodness, do I love those little ladies...
